1950s Handmade Mid-Century Modern Venetian Corseted Spiraling Vase

What a fascinating vase, made by Venetian craftsman in 1950s Italy. The vase is a fiery stunner. It is a tower of a vase, standing a full 12″, and is also quite sturdy, its footprint being 4| and its mouth opening measuring 3.25″. The walls are thick, yet sublime. There is lots of visual motion in this glass, characterized by round edges. The colors are masterful, with a dominate aqua blue, there are hues of orange at the base, glimmers of yellow in the body and a prominent purple near the top. The colors flow into and between one ant the others. They are not solid color bands. Three rods rise from the bottom on the sides and progress to the top while twisting along the corseted body of the vase. These rods have terminus points atop the vase which stand like proud minarets.

The Vase has its original 1950s sticker in place, which identifies its maker, reading “Hand Made Venetian J. i. Co., Made in Italy” While this exemplar suggest Murano, it is decidedly Venetian Glass. It is in excellent condition.
