Mid Century Anglo-Indian Settee

This gorgeous work of art will look great in the elegant home, on the veranda or simply as a showpiece. A beautiful settee crafted in the British-Indi period (19th century) with fine carvings. A central scallop seashell, a symbol of love and beauty, flanked by acanthus and adorned with rosettes which symbolize luck and fortune. There are more rosettes on the arms and legs with a rattan weave on the seating and back. It sits on 4 greek column legs. and the entire settee is outlined in a detailed carved scrolling. This solid wood and rattan settee is in excellent condition. The wood looks like a cinnamon chocolate shade depending on the lightning. An heirloom vintage piece perfect for a coastal home or country villa.
